St Thomas More
Catholic Secondary School

On Sunday we start Holy week with Palm Sunday. A very different time for us this year as we mark this occasion at home. Normally in school we would have had lots of opportunities to pray and share our journey together. However, as I write I am reminded of the many ways in which we gathered and marked Ash Wednesday at the beginning of Lent and how just a few weeks ago all of Year 10 visited our very own Stations of the Cross in our garden at school.

As we begin Holy week there are two resources for you to use at home, which you can find below:

  1. The St Thomas More Stations of the Cross with a simple reflection very similar to what Year 10 used.
  2. A Holy Week at Home pack prepared by Monsignor Mc Ginnell from the Diocese.

We also have our virtual worship time every Friday on Facebook at 3pm  with Mrs Mary Ward Lay Chaplain from St John Rigby School today and next week Mr Tony Bishop, Senior Executive Lead, Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academies Trust

With the assurance of my continued prayers for you and your families at this time,

Mrs Burgess
