In year 9 all pupils study the following units:
Unit 1: Britain 1750 - 1900: The Industrial Revolution
Unit 2: The British Empire
Unit 3: Child Labour
Unit 4: The First World War
Unit 5: Hitler's Rise to Power
Unit 6: The Holocaust

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COURSE:

None

UNITS/MODULES STUDIED DURING THE COURSE:
 

All units are of equal weight and the final assessment for each one is given a level. This is used to produce a Teacher Assessed level at the end of the year.

COURSE ASSESSMENT:

Each unit lasts for half a term and is assessed at the end by a piece of extended writing.

QUALIFICATION GAINED:

Teacher Assessed level in history.
