To be rated as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted, then be given the status of Teaching School within the first 100 allocated places, was truly amazing. Both were fitting testimonies to the hard work of both students and staff alike. However, at St Thomas More Catholic Teaching School, we continue to strive to enhance the excellent learning opportunities available to our students, and build up on the successes of exam results year on year.
These successes reverberate through our school life – first class drama productions, a wide variety of exciting sporting activities, diverse music and cultural opportunities, challenging science debating societies, charity work to name but a few – the range of opportunities given to students here is quite exceptional. St Thomas More is a happy place, where students enjoy attending and feel valued. Our school community places great value on respect, working with and for each other, raising and fulfilling aspirations, and meeting each individual’s needs. It is a very special place to learn and grow. We prize our uniqueness and diversity.
